B.A. (Humanities)
The widest subject choice on campus, and the degree that opens the most competitive-examination doors.
Two years of depth, a compulsory dissertation, and UGC-NET coaching inside the timetable.
Our postgraduate departments are small by design — forty seats per subject — which allows genuine seminar teaching. Students present weekly in a departmental research seminar, and every dissertation is supervised individually rather than in groups of fifteen.
UGC-NET preparation is built into the timetable rather than left to private coaching. Papers are sequenced to follow the NET syllabus, previous-year papers are worked through in class, and the departments hold a mock test each month in the second year.
Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject (45% for reserved categories). Admission is by merit of the qualifying examination.
Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.
Forty seats per subject means discussion-based teaching and individual dissertation supervision.
Syllabus sequencing, previous-year paper work in class and monthly mock tests in the second year.
An individually supervised research dissertation with viva voce in the fourth semester.
Students present their own work in progress to the department — the habit that makes a Ph.D. possible.
The structure below follows the Kurukshetra University syllabus under the NEP 2020 framework. Papers are revised by the university periodically — the department publishes the current detailed syllabus at the start of each session.
