B.Sc. (Non-Medical)
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with twelve laboratory hours a week — no shortcuts.
Analysis, algebra and topology done properly — with computational work in Python and MATLAB.
This is the most demanding programme we run, and the smallest — thirty seats, taught largely at the blackboard. Real and complex analysis, abstract algebra, topology and functional analysis form the core, and students are expected to write proofs rather than reproduce solved examples.
Alongside the pure mathematics, the department runs a computational strand: numerical methods implemented in Python, and MATLAB for linear algebra and differential equations. That combination is what has allowed several of our graduates to move into analytics and actuarial work rather than only into teaching.
B.Sc. or B.A. with Mathematics as a major subject and at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
Admission is granted strictly on the merit of the qualifying examination, following the reservation policy of the Government of Haryana. There is no capitation or donation charge of any kind.
Thirty seats, blackboard teaching, and assessment that rewards a correct argument over a memorised method.
Numerical methods in Python and linear algebra in MATLAB, taught in the computer centre.
Weekly problem sessions aligned to CSIR-NET and GATE Mathematics, run through the second year.
A supervised dissertation in the fourth semester, several of which have led directly to Ph.D. admission.
The structure below follows the Kurukshetra University syllabus under the NEP 2020 framework. Papers are revised by the university periodically — the department publishes the current detailed syllabus at the start of each session.
Where our graduates from this programme actually go — based on alumni records, not projections.
CSIR-NET or JRF followed by assistant professor recruitment.
Doctoral programmes in mathematics at state and central universities.
The computational strand plus Python makes this a genuine route, not a theoretical one.
Actuarial examinations, for which a strong probability and analysis base is essential.
RBI Grade B, Indian Statistical Service and SSC-CGL statistical investigator posts.
With B.Ed. and HTET, for senior secondary teaching posts.
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with twelve laboratory hours a week — no shortcuts.
Botany, Zoology and Chemistry with real fieldwork — and honest support for NEET repeaters.
Computing with a mathematics spine — for students who want the theory, not just the tools.
